Naza N5R Special Edition Review

Launched last year, Naza N5R shows great sales of their recent breed, the Naza N5R. N5R and N5R SE considered cheapest full fairing bike for 2016. And today, a review from direct owner, MR. Naqip Ahmad , about his Naza N5R SE, the bike that he just own for few months.

Based on his own review, he says that this is a bike can suitable for daily use, as it has better fuel consumption and easy to maintain.  But like previous version of Naza, this bike also encounters few sensor problems.

Size of this bike is quite small makes her suitable for petite rider. The black matte stripe red makes her looks more sporty and the dual headlamp makes her looks like classy superbike. The top he can get while riding this is 155 kph.

Thanks to Naqip Ahmad, he gives us the Pros and Cons about this bike, which is really helpful for those whoever considering purchasing this bike.

PRO:
  1. Good top speed for 250cc single cylinder (155 kph).
  2. Good fuel consumption (RM100 total from JB to Perlis and back to JB)
  3. SE variant comes with aftermarket exhaust, Preformance Exhaust System.
  4. Superlight chassis makes it easier to control especially on heavy traffic jammed.
  5. Nice and sporty look.
  6. Comfortable seat for both short and long distance ride.
  7. Until Modenas RC200 introduced, Naza N5R is the cheapest full fairing bike.
CON:
  1. Sensor problem. Engine shut down suddenly.
  2. Stock tires are very slippery.
  3. He encounters problem switching to N gear. Have to shut down the engine just to free gear. (Solved: Adjusting cable clutch will do)
  4. Can feel vibration while reaching top speed.
  5. Rear signal lamp already has moist.
  6. Brake light won't activate if you hit the brake on foot pedal.
  7. Another problems he encountered recently: When you stopped in first gear,  you have to hold the brake as well even when you are pulling the clutch, otherwise bike will move like the throttle twisted.

Conclusion here, Naza N5R SE is one of wonderful starter bike. She has problems somehow but this is a new bike compared to Kawasaki or Yamaha. This is your bike when you look for cheap and sporty bike as your first bike.  Easy to handle, easy to maintain, and easy to look cool while you riding it.

Ray Superbike Prototype

Hey there. I have been busy recently building my own bike. Yeah, custom bike. I already order Lifan 250cc engine(a racing spec engine), and using delta box frame. I got that from Skyline. For the fairing, I try to design it by copycat some from Ducati and Aprilia design. In few months, we will see how this works. But for now, only the frame and the engine are ready, but the fairing still on design work. It could take some time, but let's hope it's work!

Also Read: 2016 Skyline 200 Ray Superbike Version.

Ahhhh, this will be nice.

There are 2 types of 250cc Lifan engine. V-Twin and parallel Twin. I pick the parallel twin, since it produces nice sound and great top speed power. Lifan is made in Taiwan but there is authorized dealer in Malaysia. So it's easier for me to get the engine. I list down the spec of this Lifan engine that I gonna use for my bike:

Type: Double-cylinder,four-stroke air-cooled hand-clutched 250cc
Displacement:233ml
Compression ratio: 9.2:1
Primary reduction: 3.631
Bore x Stroke:53mm x 53mm
Max.Power & Rotating Speed:13kw/8500r/min
Max.Net Power & Rotating Speed:12.5kw/8500r/min
Rated Power & Rotating Speed:11kw/8500r/min
Max.Torpue & Rotating Speed:15.5N.m/7000r/min
Min.Fuel Consumption: ≤354g/kw.h
Ldling Speed:1400r/min
Ignition:CDI
Starter:electric starter
Lubrication: Pressure/splash
Transmission: 5 speed

As stated, this engine is using air cooled system. So I have to use oil cooler radiator, to make sure this engine has long lifespan. This is a racing spec engine, so it is not suitable for daily use. It's okey, I will get another bike. This gonna be my collection anyway. Besides, proud to have my own custom bike.

A 250 cc bike with 35 horse power? Its quite fast to me even it claimed can only reach 171 kph, but I personally think that this Yamaha YZF R25 can go more than 171 kph. This super bike even qualified in Moto GP 3 Racing.
  2. Good Facelift
Good speed must comes with good look. This nice facelift is totally different with R15, R6, and R1. She has her own beauty. And one more thing, girls do love it.

Its Yamaha, man. Yamaha is known to their quality that build for lifetime. And the spare parts are ready stock too. So you don't have to worry about it.

The price is just RM 19,000.00 OTR. She is much cheaper than Kawasaki Ninja 250R, and same price with Honda CBR 250r and Kawasaki Z250. but compared to these two bikes, Yamaha R25 is much more worthy.

(The Yamaha R25 lunching (Left) together with Yamaha R6 (right)

CONS
  1. Poor Accelerations.
Even she is powerful in top speed, but in acceleration, she's a bit slower compared to her rivals, Kawasaki 250R, and Hyosung /Naza Blade GTR 250,
  2. Low Brightness
Her headlamp could be has some problem with the brightness. This is projector headlamp, it suppose to brighter than bulb. I hope Yamaha could fix this.

So I hope is can help you guys if you gonna purchase this. Remember those info comes from internet. I cannot give you my opions about this since I never ride this yet. But for sure, this is one good bike for starter, or experienced riders too.

KTN RS3 250

Hello everyone. Excited waiting for new year? Me too. And this might be my last post for this year. And my post is about KTN RS3. It has another names in different countries. For example, in China they call it Zhong Shen 250. In United Kingdom they call is Cyclone RX3, and United State of America has another name but I can't catch up that name. Forgot already. But in Malaysia, we call it KTN RS3.

(You can use it for long distance.)

(Or off road adventures)

This is the bike that we can call a sport touring bike. It can be used in urban ride, and off road rides. Built in China, this machine has capability to produces at least 25 horsepower for displacement 250cc. Has single cylinder, four stroke, four valve, liquid coller and total weight could be around 170 kg.

In Malaysia, they opened price for the market is RM12,800. Additional RM500 you can get Engine Guard, 3 boxes, and wind shield. So all price including insurance and road tax could be RM14,000 and for Sabah and Sarawak its gonna be around RM16,000. But its the cheapest sport touring bike for this moment. I can see it from mudah.my. And I hope the spare parts are easier to find here.

(Here are the spec for the bike. Click for better view)

So all we can do is wait until it came here. once this sport touring bike came at my place, I promise I gonna give my review about this. But for this time, just wait. Until next time everyone. Safe ride, and Happy New Year.

Before that, here is my final photo for this year. A girl with KTN RS3.

Malaysian Top 5 Beginner Superbike

In Malaysia, there are always a new beginner rider, every single day. Even from mat-rempit can turned to a super bike rider. For beginners, you are recommended to start a super bike with 250cc, as a learner bike. A big bikes like Kawasaki Z1400rr, Ducati 1149, or Yamaha R1, takes special skills to handle, and a lot of experience to keep your 100++ horsepower beast on street. Otherwise, accident can happends. Some of it, lead to fatal result.
But not to scare the hell out of you. here some good info for those who wish to start a new life, as a big big biker.
  1. Naza Blade 250r

Naza Blade is a 250cc motorcycle, 4-stroke engine with 70 degree of V-Twin. Liquid cooled and has only 5 speed of transmission.
Naza Blade is a Korean super bike, called Hyosung GTR, and assembled at Malaysia. These model encounters a lot of complaints due to a lot of problems in earlier models. But now day models seems have a lot of improvement.
To me, Blade are useful for daily use. As its easier to maintain, fuel save, and can be ridden in urban traffic. But if you have extra budgets, I suggest you to look over another models of super bikes.
By the way, if you are Ducati die hard fans, but cannot afford to own one, then you should buy this Blade. In Malaysia, a lot of riders converted their Naza Blade to 1199 Ducati. Nice touch!

(One of Naza Blade converted to Ducati)

  2. KTM Duke 200

KTM Duke is a 200cc of sport bike. It is a single cylinder with Double Overhead Cam. Liquid Cooler and has 6 speed of transmission
If you are looking a multi-purpose bike, for urban and offroad, KTM 200 is your answer. This euro-design super bike has a lot of dans in Malaysia. If you are beginner, this bike is what you should ride. But if you are planning to upgrade, KTM also provides models like Duke 390 and 690. You can upgrade the engine, without change the face of you bike.

  3. Honda CBR 250rr

    http://my.shareddis.com/p/9182q
Honda CBR250R is a 4 stroke Double Overhead Cam engine. Single cylinder, EFI, and the close rival to Kawasaki Ninja 250r. She has 6 speed of transmission.
This could be yours if you wanted a reliable motorcycle for long time. A 250r of superbike is suitable for urban daily use. So if you own this cheap but good quality super bike, youu can use it for daily use or weekend use. Most review and feedback from Honda CBR user, they said this super bike are comfortable for long distance ride. So, add this on your list if you don't have any super bike yet!

  4. Kawasaki Z250
Naked version of Ninja 250r, Four stroke, twin parallel cylinders Double Overhead Cam, liquid cooled, and has 6 speed of transmission.
As you see, this street fighter is real dynamic and aggressive as combination of Kawasaki z750, z800, and z1000's concept, for design that more to urban. This Z250 has exact spec like Kawasaki Z250, except this is naked versions.

  5. Kawasaki Ninja 250rr

Kawasaki Ninja 250r, Four stroke, twin parallel cylinders Double Overhead Cam, liquid cooled, EFI, and has 6 speed of transmission.
This is the expensive 250cc in Malaysia. Also the number 1 250cc in Malaysia. Ninja 250r, the people's choice. This is very suitable for beginner. Has good on both speed and style. Yeah, could be expensive but reliable. The older generation are still using Carburator, but latest models are all using EFI. Malaysian Police (PDRM) in Traffic Division, using Kawasaki Ninja 250r as their Pursuit Unit. So, how bout it? Made up your mind?

    (The older model)
And of course, besides these five models, there are more 250cc of super bike for you to choose, like:

  • SYM T2
  • Megelli 250rr
  • Kawasaki Ninja 250sl/ Kawasaki Ninja z250sl
So, as we can see here, there are always a super bike as your super bike. Its depends on your skill, passions, and budget to choose all these bikes. Refer to www.mudah.my for your reference. I hope you enjoy on whatever you first super bike is. Have a nice day~
