REVIEW Yamaha YZF R25: The Everyday Superbike

You know, it is very rare to see any Yamaha R25 in my place, Sabah. Maybe it is a brand new brand. But there are many riders asking about how good this bike is.  have been searching the bike since few weeks ago and still din't catch any.

So when they ask me about it, I can't give any pro and cons based on my experience, but I still can give info about it when I do the research via internet.  So here we go.

Yamaha YZF R25: The Everyday Super Bike. That is official tag line for this bike. It means you can use ii in daily ride, to go work, and city ride where there are a lot of traffic jammed. She also comes with three different colours; Red, Blue and Black

PROS
  1. Powerful
A 250 cc bike with 35 horse power? Its quite fast to me even it claimed can only reach 171 kph, but I personally think that this Yamaha YZF R25 can go more than 171 kph. This super bike even qualified in Moto GP 3 Racing.
  2. Good Facelift
Good speed must comes with good look. This nice facelift is totally different with R15, R6, and R1. She has her own beauty. And one more thing, girls do love it.
  3. Reliable
Its Yamaha, man. Yamaha is known to their quality that build for lifetime. And the spare parts are ready stock too. So you don't have to worry about it.
  4. Good Price
The price is just RM 19,000.00 OTR. She is much cheaper than Kawasaki Ninja 250R, and same price with Honda CBR 250r and Kawasaki Z250. but compared to these two bikes, Yamaha R25 is much more worthy.
  5. Super Light
The new designed lightweight, compact and slim chassis, Yamaha R25 is just 177 kg of kerb weight, makes her among the lightest bike of 250 cc twin cylinders.
  6. Daily Use
During the lunching in mid 2005,and asked them what they say about YZF R25, the Yamaha replied "A super bike for everyday." It means this bike designed to handle the traffice jammed's pressure, and can be used everyday to go work.

CONS
  1. Poor Accelerations.
Even she is powerful in top speed, but in acceleration, she's a bit slower compared to her rivals, Kawasaki 250R, and Hyosung /Naza Blade GTR 250,
  2. Low Brightness
Her headlamp could be has some problem with the brightness. This is projector headlamp, it suppose to brighter than bulb. I hope Yamaha could fix this.

So I hope is can help you guys if you gonna purchase this. Remember those info comes from internet. I cannot give you my opions about this since I never ride this yet. But for sure, this is one good bike for starter, or experienced riders too.
Have a nice day, people!
