The Megelli Crash

Last ride, which is a few weeks ago, my Megelli 250RR has accidently crashed on Coastal Highway. I din't hit anyone, or get hit. I just fell from the bike, at low speed. I don't know why I fall, but for sure, the road is clear, and the weather is nice.

But, I'm okey, that's matter. The bike can be repair, but it gonna take time, so meaning I have to take a time off from riding as well. Nothing much about the bike's damage, but still I share here those photos. I was hoping all of you riders, please be careful. Your bike always can be rebuilt, but your life, priceless. Safe ride, everyone~

3.Crack Fairing

4. The seat fairing is not fit at the body frame anymore.

5.Scratches of fairing

6.Crack on Side Mirror

 7. Plat number's bracket is crack as well.

This is not major accident, but still gonna cost me money to fix this. Gonna rest for a while. Stay safe, stay sharp~

Megelli History

2006 Current off-road products were having a shorter life span within the market place, mainly due to Asian copies. We soon realized that we needed new exciting on-road products, which couldn't be copied easily.

PDQ Get the price, design and quality right and you have a winning formula.

A creative company with knowledge and experience of the industry was crucial to fulfilling our requirements. A team who believed in our goals, and understood our concept of the final product was selected from the leading European motorcycle designers. Cutting edge C.A.D. technology was used to transfer the original design data into computerized virtual design, breathing new life into the process. The end result could be viewed and analyzed, ensuring compliance with the strict design and engineering criteria, prior to any physical part being produced.

Key structural components, including frame, sub-frame, swing arm, out-riggers and wheels, were subjected to F.E.A (Finite Element Analysis) ensuring long-term performance and durability.

Branding was the next step. We needed a name that reflected the product. Around the dinner table that night, my partner explained that she had jokingly been called McGilli because of her surname, and over the next few weeks we eventually changed it to Megelli. Checking the name out on the Internet there were only five results all relating to a small village in Italy, perfect!

2007
  1. My Taiwanese business partner brought together manufacturing companies in China to produce tooling for our Motorcycles.
  2. September, gained Type approval,
  3. October, achieved DOT approval.
  4. October, production of Megelli Motard 125M
  5. November, Product launch Milan EICMA show,

2008
  1. March, product launch Canton Fair China.
  2. May Homologation with SYM engines
  3. September production Megelli Naked 125S & Megelli Sport 125R
  4. September ADR approval (Australia)

2009
  1. CE approval Motard 250M, Naked 250S and Sport 250R models
  2. June Homologation with 250cc engines

2010
  1. EPA approval USA
  2. Megelli had grown into a global brand, which is a credit to our loyal distributors and end users. Like the designs, the demand was strong.
  3. We needed a stronger partner; this was to prove the greatest challenge.

2012
Restyling of Megelli Naked S and Sport R models to incorporate larger airbox, fuel injection and packaging of components.

2013
Still looking for the right partner.

2014
Megelli distribution partner in Malaysia, were stronger and more experienced in producing motorcycles, so the decision to transfer ownership was made, creating a stronger future for Megelli Motorcycles.

2015
  1. Forming of new Megelli global distribution company, Megelli Limited.
  2. We can now focus on designing new products for you, our potential customer.

Ray Superbike URL

Hello there. First of all, maybe most of you noticed that recently, this blog's URL has been change from fezanray.blogspot.com to raysuperbike.com. There are certain reason why I change it but totally wrong and failed. Most of google search cannot find my blog using the new address. And the page view also has slightly down for the performance.

So I decided to change the URL back to fezanray.blogspot.com for the official URL for Ray Superbike. I hope its okay to you. Since this URL is much familiar to anyone. Plus its easier for to to search at Google. So from now on the main URL is (www.fezanray.blogspot.com). Only the face lift that has been changed.

(My first bike and current bike. She is the reason why I started this blog.)

(My soon to be super bike. And I even paid for the booking fee. Yeah that is why I put her as my official wallpaper now)

I hope its okay to all of you for those changes that I made for this URL. Simply changing the name and URL but those contents and reviews are still the same. To all of you, have a safe ride. And have a nice day. Thanks for supporting Ray Superbike.

Sincerely,

Fezan Ray

REVIEW: Megelli 250RR Pros and Cons

Happy New Year everyone. Its already in third week of 2015 but this is the first post of this year. Haha. I guess too much commitment makes me less time to online. But here we are, still online and I have time to post anything at least.

(This is my firs photo with my Megelly 250rr. I name her Katty)

So my post about this new year is about my own bike, with my own experience. Megelli 250rr. A well known bike for the quality I guess. Hahah. I have good times and bad times about Megelli too. Tell you the truth, most of it are bad times. Often break down. Well, that is the risk if you go with new brand super bike like Megelli.
(She parks at Hospital Queen Elizabeth II, waiting for me until my work done!)

But like other bikes, Megelli has it own Pros and Cons. Compare to any 250cc of super bike, Megelli can be on your list too. So check this out for Pros and Cons during my time with Megelli.

PROS

  1. Super Hot Stunning Super Bike
-Whenever I ride around the city, I attract a lot of attentions. Even hot girls are looking at me with this   bike. WOW!
  2. Super Light.
    - A single cylinder with 123kg, I guess it is already super light bike. Easy for short people, and able to   control in most conditions
  3. Cheap Spare Parts.
    - Yeah, very cheap, but you must order ONLINE. Don't ever order from service center since
  4. Fast.
  5. Brakes Are Good.
  6. Cheap Maintenance.
CONS
  1. Always Breakdown.
    -Yapz. Common situations for Megelli.
  2. Spare Parts Are Not Ready Stock
-Everything must be order frm Daiichi or NB Motors.
  3. Fairing Using Cheap Materials.
-Screws are easily off from fairing. Your fairing materials are real cheap quality. Damn China Bikes.
  4. Bad Sound.
-Has single cylinder. So you now has bad sound. But this not just Megelli. Its same to all super bike  that has single cylinder.
  5. Engine System Are Not So Good.
-Well, from my research, The air filter is under your seat, giving you big trouble if you let your bike in     heavy rain, then the filter is wet, your carb going to have problem as well. Sam goes with battery        location. Its located under the tank. SO removing battery may require you to have extra hand to help  you removing the battery.
(The beauty of Megelly 250RR)

Overall, Megelly is all beauty. not for speed. So if you bother about speed, go get fast super bike instead. Megelly has only one problem. Which is has a lot of problem. So, in my opinion, if you plan to buy Megelly please refer review so you know what is the problem that you may have encounters and how to avoid it. Remember, Megelly is a beautiful bike but not fast. Don't compare to other bikes. So buy a bike that suit to you. I have a friend riding Kawasaki Kips 150rr, faster than me but still I prefer my bike.

Well, that's all for today. Again sorry for the late post. But this is what I can give to you. I hope you happy with whatever that you ride. Just safety first. Until next time. Have a nice day...
