REVIEW Nimota Ranger X7 Off Road Design Urban Use

Hello~~ Welcome to March! Happy Working everyone! What? Aren't you excited about Working? Hahaha. I know how you feel bro. but its okay. This is the first post for this month. And the post is about REVIEW! Its been a while since my last review.

(This is him. His name is Azhari a.k.a Midun)

So today I'm gonna give a review for my cousin's motard bike. Which is Nimota Ranger X7! But first, do you know what is the difference between motard and scrambler? I mean both look alike right. So lets me give you a quick explanations here.

Scrambler as we know is for off road. She has soft spring on her absorber. Means this scrambler can absorb much shock than any other bike. Most scrambler still using 2 stroke engine system. Yeah, they gonna need much power to climb hills or ride in off roads. Of course the scrambler much faster than the motard since scrambler designed to have more accelerations for them to ride in off road or hills.

(Motard. Same design as scrambler but 100% for city ride)

That is the quick explanation for scrambler. Now what about motard? Motard is the bike that has 100% body design like scrambler, but the functions is totally for urban use. These kind of bikes are for them who loves scrambler design but wanna use it on the city road. Motard commonly used for daily ride. All motard is using 4 stroke engine system. And the speed has slower than scrambler but can beat scrambler when it comes to top speed.

Okey. Now my cousin Motard is Nimota Ranger X7, I don't really know about X7, because since Nimota Ranger X1, there are no Nimota Ranger X2, X3, X4, X5, X6 and suddenly there is X7? That's so funny man. But what do we know about this bike?

Nimota originally from China but Nimota Ranger X7 is totally built in Malaysia. The main factory are here so don't even worry about spare parts. Nimota Ranger X7 is one from four main Motards that produced by Nimota.

Houw about the spec? Well until today there is no full specifications given by the internet. Even the official website of Nimota doesn't have the spec. But they give us the quick speck. So here some I share to you. The Nimota Ranger X7 is using 4 stroke engine. The displacement is 150 cc, and using air cooling system. But the fork are upside down. Means totally different from some others bike. Dry weight is 130 kg.

(While riding together with my and other bikers)

I have been riding this bike for few hours. There is a night where we even change each other bike for a moment, to test the bike. So here are my review about Nimota Ranger X 7

PRO
  1. Good height
This bike is awesome for tall guy, like me and him. This heightness also good for off road surfaces.
  2. Fuel Save
Ya, this 150 cc sure not consume too much fuel. The 12 litters tank can hold up to a week if you use this bike everyday. A full tank can go to 250-300 km. I know this via the trip meter.
  3. Low Maintenance
Of course, this motard cost you less money on spare parts also the maintenance. For example, I saw on their official website, the cost for head lamp only RM 58, where other brank like Kawasaki could cost you RM 700 to RM 1200. Could be more! So you lucky to have this bike if you looking for easy maintain bike.

CONS
  1. Not for extreme off road use.
As you know there are difference between motard and scrambler. This bike even has off road bike design but its always for urban use. The tyre are not for off road. The suspension are not for off road use and most of all, the engine system are really not for off road. Taking this bike to extreme off road surface could lead you to disaster. If you wish to take off road, go to the road that has not much adventure so your bike wont damage much.
  2. Slow
Cannot blame this bike. Its not super bike. But among 150 cc of bike, this is the slowest among them. The rivals, Kawasaki KLX 150, Honda CBF 150 is much faster than this bike, in off road or city road.

Okey, that's all my review for today. I hope this review helps you a lot if you try to deciding which bike you wanna ride. Okey, Thanks for reading. Oh yeah! Its been long time but I haven't post any girls with bike like I always do right? Hahaha. Here you go. This is all I got.

(She is not with Nimota Ranger X 7, but with DTM instead. But this is the only photo that a motard with girl that I have. Her name is Scarlette Rochelle by the way.)
