REVIEW Virago 750: The Ghost Rider

Holaaa. how was you been? And oh, by the way, I wish all of you Happy Chinese New Year. Hahaha. Gotta lot of ang pow this year. So for the Chinese New Year, I give you my next review, the Yamaha Virago 750.

This is Yamaha Virago 750. It also known as Yamaha XV750. This cruising bike is belongs to Mr. Hazizul Budin Al-Zaifah. He lives in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. He is the member of Kinabalu Leperianz and KZMC. He owns this Virago for a long time, so I decided to ask him sharing his experiences and knowledge about this bike and thanks to him to agree allow me to review his bike.
(This is Mr Hazizul Budin, The Ghost Rider)

About Yamaha Virago 750, its a cruiser bike that using Yamaha V-Twin engine system. This bike's production is from 1981 before ended at 1998. This Virago 750 is one of Yamaha Crusier bike. From the internet all they said that Virago 750 can easily reach 110 mph, or 180 kph. The Yamaha Virago is the  first  Yamaha Cruiser with V-Twin system and share the body frame and most of her component parts with bigger Yamaha Virago, which one of its is Yamaha XV1100. Here some quick spec about Yamaha Virago 750.

(And this is the first chassis of Yamaha Virago when its first introduced.)

About the review, this pro and cons are came direct from the owner, Mr. Hazizul and me as well.Riding the bike for fisrt time is so cool. Riding its forever makes you the true ghost rider. Haha! So he the pro and cons about Yamaha Virago 750.

PRO
  1. ACCELERATION
This Virago has good torque. Your hand must be fit to handle the Yamaha Virago. Acceleration is quite good. You can feel the vibrations that come from the engine.
During convoy and riding long distant, Yamaha Virago has no problem keeping along others Four-Inline Super Bike.
The V-Twin Engine System gives more power, since the power delivery are separated for every Piston Block. This much different than 4-inline superbike engine where they are sharing four pistons in one block.
  2. COMFORTABLE
What can I say, all cruiser are comfortable for long distance. They are designed for that anyway. But the Yamaha Virago 750 good for both relaxed ride or fast ride.
  3. GOOD CONTROL
Yamaha Virago has good weight to keep this cruiser stable and sticks on the road, either while taking cornering or closing the top speed.
CONS
  1. OLD DESIGN
Yeah. Even the owner said this. The Yamaha Virago's design is too old from its time. Even the production is from 1981 until 1998, the Virago 750 still using the 70's cruiser motorcycle's design.
  2. NOT MUCH TO CUSTOMIZE
The handle are too small makes the owner having hard time to upgrade it to higher handle. Changing to higher handle makes it less durability. If you still wish to change to higher handle, you gonna need to change a lot of parts. You have to change the stater bowl switch, signal lamp, brake pump and clutch lever to bigger. Its gonna cost you some money here.
That's all about the review. To me, this Yamaha Virago has her own legendary. Everyone knows Yamaha Virago. To the owner, Hazizul, VIrago is like his lifetime partner. He even share his experiences to us with his Virago 750.

(You can say this Virago has round whole Sabah)

(Guess what, Yamaha Virago also can perform sharp corner. We call it here is 'meleper')

So that's all for today. Again big thanks to brother Hazizul for allow me to review his Yamaha Virago. Until we meet again, have a nice day~

WAIT!  What? No... No... There is no hot girls with bike today. Hahahaha.
