TOP 5: Newbie Mistakes

1. No License

License is not just for you ride superbike legally on the road. But, also giving you the very basic knowledge of riding a superbike. If you think riding superbike is easy, you are wrong. They also teach you law of the road. So before you know your bike, know yourself first. Don't be a fool riding superbike without legal license. License also enable your insurance to protect you. No license, the insurance has right to refuse any claim, giving you more headache if accident happens.

2. Every Bike Can Be Ride As Superbike

So, owning a big bike, first thing you will ask yourself; " How fast she can go?". Well, if you, the newbie, and your first bike is like Fz150, Yamaha R25 or even Kawasaki ER6F, don't even think about pushing your bike to the limit. Let's take ER6F as example. In early 2011, most of ER6F complaints about broken valve. This did not occur on ER6N. Why? Because the thought ER6F is a superbike. So the press it to the limit. Malaysian ER6F top speed is 220 km/h before cut off. This is so WRONG. ER6F it is a touring bike. It ain't mean to ride fast. Same goes if you own Fz150, R25, Blade 250. These only has superbike design, but not superbike engine. They are not design for continuing top speed.

3. Overconfident while Lack of Skill

The term 'Ride With Confidence' is totally useless if you are lack of skill. Riding superbike needs certain level of confident but overconfident may lead you into disaster. So to be safe, just remember: Don't ride faster than you can stop.

4. Don't Have Emergency Tools

Alright. What's the most important thing that you should have with you? POWER BANK! Now day cellphone seems the most important thing to us. It also allow us to reach whoever we need whenever we need them. So, if your bike is break down, or involved a crash, cellphone is what you need to call for help. But it is useless when you battery is dead and you have no charger.

Beside that, please bring a mini kid of first aid. It might not for you but if you see someone who involved in accident, you can help them. Maybe you can temporary stop bleeding while waiting for ambulance came up. Also, please bring some tools like allen key and some spanners (size 8-12). There might have some problem that you can fix by our own.

5. Using Racing Spec Superbike For Daily Use.

ZX10R and Z100SX

So, you might a rich kid that love to show off. Purchase a 600cc or 1000cc of racing spec superbike as your first bike. That's fine. But did a racing bike is what you need? remember, Racing Spec bikes are not suitable to ride slow and heavy traffic jammed. If you using your bike for weekend long ride, that's fine. But, urban ride is not really suit on you. You bike might getting jammed engine or high temp overheat

There is alternative bike for you to ride and show off without damaging you bike. Like instead of Kawasaki ZX10R (a racing spec bike), you can buy a Kawasaki Z1000SX. Instead of Yamaha R6, why don't buy Yamaha XJ6, which is suitable for both long and city rides!
