Review CF Moto 650 NK

CF Moto. If this is your first time heard of it, I am not surprise! CF Moto is a China company that focused on Motorcycle Export. They are expert on it. Some of they well-known bike are CF Moto 650NK and 650 TR. The 650 NK is really close to Kawasaki ER6N, and has 80% looks of Benelli TNT 600 headlamp.

CF Moto is one of few 600cc bikes in Malaysia that you can get in very cheap price. But, the question is, it this China bike reliable? Well, from the expert review on Youtube, this bike is using Ducati ECU, and using Kayata suspension, which is one of the best suspension in the world. Its a money worth bike!

From the owner review, they are satisfied with this bike, especially when it comes with affordable price. These are the list of top problems/complains from the user:

  • The fuel float isn’t very accurate and probably needs addressing. The gauge on the LCD Instruments measures the fuel in 11 bars, but it jumps up and down by about three bars at a time.
  • Parallel twin engines tend to buzz a fair bit at high revs and this is no different. It isn’t annoying and doesn’t make your hands tingle, but it does blur the image in the mirrors. You can’t tell if you are being followed by an ambulance or an ice-cream van!  The wing mirror housings are good quality, but the mirror needs improved isolation.

  • The indicator switch is flimsy and doesn’t always trigger. Every time you use it, you have to look down and check that it has actuated or cancelled.
  • On a long haul, the hard seat becomes a bit of a pain. At least it’s flat and there aren’t supports that dig into your backside. Maybe a thicker or better-quality foam would help.
  • On bumpy roads the suspension is a bit choppy and lacks the subtlety to take the sting out of sudden bumps.
Seems not a major problem to me, but if you wish to avoid these problems, I may suggest you to take Kawasaki ER6N instead. Tey have almost same design but Kawasaki ER6N is twice expensive than 650NK. How about spec? Again, almost same as Kawasaki ER6N. So have a look:

Ray Superbike Prototype

Hey there. I have been busy recently building my own bike. Yeah, custom bike. I already order Lifan 250cc engine(a racing spec engine), and using delta box frame. I got that from Skyline. For the fairing, I try to design it by copycat some from Ducati and Aprilia design. In few months, we will see how this works. But for now, only the frame and the engine are ready, but the fairing still on design work. It could take some time, but let's hope it's work!

Ahhhh, this will be nice.

There are 2 types of 250cc Lifan engine. V-Twin and parallel Twin. I pick the parallel twin, since it produces nice sound and great top speed power. Lifan is made in Taiwan but there is authorized dealer in Malaysia. So it's easier for me to get the engine. I list down the spec of this Lifan engine that I gonna use for my bike:

Type: Double-cylinder,four-stroke air-cooled hand-clutched 250cc
Displacement:233ml
Compression ratio: 9.2:1
Primary reduction: 3.631
Bore x Stroke:53mm x 53mm
Max.Power & Rotating Speed:13kw/8500r/min
Max.Net Power & Rotating Speed:12.5kw/8500r/min
Rated Power & Rotating Speed:11kw/8500r/min
Max.Torpue & Rotating Speed:15.5N.m/7000r/min
Min.Fuel Consumption: ≤354g/kw.h
Ldling Speed:1400r/min
Ignition:CDI
Starter:electric starter
Lubrication: Pressure/splash
Transmission: 5 speed

As stated, this engine is using air cooled system. So I have to use oil cooler radiator, to make sure this engine has long lifespan. This is a racing spec engine, so it is not suitable for daily use. It's okey, I will get another bike. This gonna be my collection anyway. Besides, proud to have my own custom bike.
