Sabah Motor Day 2016

           Yes, on 2th January 2016, the first motor sport event held at  Likas , Sabah. This event organized by Peminat Dua Roda Borneo. Shoei, Arai, Alphinestar, Bell,Honda, Kawasaki, Modenas Suzuki and more has became sponsorship and partner for this event. I was a long hot day anyway.

          

             I join this event with my wife and together with Snake Bikers Sabah. Motard team also here. Most riders here are riding 2 stroke bike. Most of them are RXZ and Yamaha 125. And all activities here are fun too! We enjoyed the Slowest Race, The Most Ragget Ride Competition and team that has most member!

        Event most 2 stroke ride and 'kapchai' are the contestant, big bikers also came giving their support for this motor sport event. That is On Call Biker team, with their rides! Big Bikes are not much here but they are always win the most attention from people!

          At the end, we ramming our engine. 4 stroke's vromm vrom engine's sound are not match for 2 stroke prenggg prenggg engine' sound. Not just they are outnumbered us, but 2 stroke sound are very loud too! But at the end, we all enjoy this event. Let's hope there are more event like this after this. Until then, safe ride everyone!

2016 Yamaha Off Road Motard

    Hey guys. Loves motard much? I got bikes for you from Yamaha. Too bad this is not entering Malaysian Market yet, but it will. The price I show here are from US, during the lunching of these models. Enjoy the brand new Yamaha Off Road Bikes.

          On the street side of things it was fairly boring, but for the off-road market, they have some good news.Most of the returning off-road and motocross models are getting some worthwhile upgrades. Luckily, the upgrades are not accompanied by price increases.

2016 YZ450F

          The best selling 450F on the market will see some improvements for its 2016 year model. The rear of the frame is beefier, including stronger engine brackets and the fork offset has been changed from 22mm to 24mm. You’ll find a new 270mm front brake rotor for decreased stopping distance. The biggest upgrade on the 2016 model is launch-control.

       The YZ450F is priced at $8,590 in Team Yamaha Blue/White and $8,690 in Limited-Edition 60th Anniversary Yellow. I normally hate special edition models, but fell in love with the 60th Anniversary Yellow. The YZ450F will be available in dealerships beginning in late June, and the YZ250F will arrive at dealerships in late July.

2016 YZ250F

The 2016 YZ250F will see a lot of little improvements, like a flatter, lighter weight piston, which is said to increase top end power. A larger front brake rotor and some suspension changes for both front and rear; however, Yamaha didn’t get into the exact suspension changes.

The YZ250F will retail for $7,590 in Team Yamaha Blue/White and $7,690 in Limited-Edition 60th Anniversary Yellow.


2016 YAMAHA YZ250X

                    The unveiling I’m the most excited about is the 2016 Yamaha YZ250X. I love 2-strokes, but also like desert rides. Think of it like the Yamaha YZ250FX, but now in a 2-stroke. Yamaha built the YZ250X specifically for Cross Country and Hare Scrambles competition. With some engine tuning changes to take away “that aggressive bit down low,” to a more gradual power curve. The power valve, exhaust pipe, Digital CDI ignition, and 38 mm Keihin® PWK carburetor have all been tuned to bring a little more power into the top end. It’s projected to be a smooth and capable racer. It’ll also feature a wide-ratio, five-speed.

              “The YZ250X’s aggressive bodywork is based on the YZ250 motocrosser, but features updated styling from the front fender to the rear brake protector. The bike also comes standard with an aluminum, tapered handlebar; YZ-F-style foot pegs, a gripper seat; Excel rims with Dunlop®tires; and a whole host of GNCC-specific features, including an 18-inch rear wheel, sealed O-ring chain, narrow expansion chamber, a convenient side stand, and a fuel tank petcock with reserve position,” according to the Yamaha press release.



The bike will retail for only $100 more than the standard YZ250 at $7,390.

2016 2-STROKES

            For 2016, the YZ85, YZ125 and YZ250 will feature gold-colored chains and black wheels. Nothing stellar, but luckily, no price bumps either. The bikes will be available in Team Yamaha Blue/White and they’ll also remain at the same USD for 2016: YZ85 for $4,090, the YZ125 for $6,390, and the YZ250 for $7,290. Available in dealerships beginning in late August.

       So Malaysians, I think these gonna come here at the end of the year, if we are lucky. Hehehe. Thanks for reading everyone.

REVIEW Kawasaki 150 RR : The Legendary KIPS

     Hi! Hello! I come here again, with my another review. And this time I gonna review my friend's bike, the Kawasaki 150 RR KIPS. This is a bit different with others review. This is the first time I review a two stroke machine. From what I have heard, this is much faster than four stroke. A 150 cc of two stroke can be faster than 150 cc of four stroke. They even said that 150 cc of two stroke, can beat 250 cc of four stroke. This could be right. But still I wanna find to figure it out, let's do some review of this bike.

      So now, what do we know about this Kawasaki KIPS? We all know that this is 150 cc of displacement and using 2 stroke engine. But not many of us knows that this bike also known as Kawasaki ZX150R.  You know like others Kawasaki ZX2R, ZX6R and ZX10R, the name of ZX150R means racing spec. In other words, it is among the fastest in its class.

     Not much people know that this 2 stroke machine is using liquid cooler! Single cylinder with Kawasaki’s patented SUPER KIPS (Kawasaki Integrated Power Valve System), will ensure continuous and usable power delivery across the entire power band. For experienced rider, the Super Kips powered Ninja KRR ZX150 will not disappoint. On paper, the engine provides massive power at 29.6ps for a bike that is only 124.5kg of curb weight. That's super light, and super fast.

      This is the owner for Kawasaki KIPS that I review today. His name is Mohd. Ehsan. You can call him San. He's sure playboy! Hahaha. Kidding bro! He is the member of Kinabalu Leperians and KZMC. San has been riding this machine for years and rode for thousands of mile age. So he is here to share some of his experiences about this Kawasaki KIPS 150 RR for helping me to complete this review. Thanks to him.So here we go to the Pros and COns about Kawasaki KIPS 150 RR!

PRO

1. SPEED
       You know its two stroke engine system. And you know it ts racing spec. Than you know how fast this bike can goes. Its much faster that Yamaha RXZ and Honda NSR, and can be arc rival for Yamaha TZM! This could be the good choice for 150 cc of 2 stroke bike!
   
2. SUPER LIGHT
        Yeah this is a small bike as you can see. Its much smaller compared to its rival, the Yamaha TZM. The curb weight is 125.4 KG, allow you to take advantage in acceleration. Also can gives you passion during taking cornering..
   
3. RELIABLE
       This bike has long year from it starts produced back in 1988, and you can still see this bike still riding in our town. Even the first model are still can be seen on the road. Kawasaki has been great job making a long life of motorcycle.
    
4. NICE LOOK
       Even this is not a super bike, but this this bike has full fairing and makes it look like a mini super bike. RIding a full fairing bike can attract a lot of attention on crowd!
   
   
   
   
   

CONS

1. MAINTENANCE AS USING OLD ENGINE SYSTEM
       Yes, two stroke machine is old engine system. That is not much rider using this kind of engine. The maintenance is too high. You need to refill the 2t fuel every two weeks, at least. Unless you know how to maintain this bike there will be no problem.
   
2. POLLUTION
      Of course Kawasaki KIPS is not really a green planet bike, again a two stroke engine causes more smoke than four stroke. Two stroke also have loud sound, especially when they go full throttle with full modification on their exhaust. So overall, this bike causes both air and sound pollution.
   . 
3. CONSUME MUCH FUEL
      Kawasaki KIPS is still using carburetor. SO it consumes more fuel than fuel injection bike. Of course the tank is not too big big if you looking for fuel saver bike, Kawasaki KIP is not one of them.

      That is all about my review on this bike. Overall I can say is, this is a good bike for those who for looking a fast 2 stroke bike. But its more difficult to maintain compared to four stroke ones. If you looking for fuel saver bike, this is not your right choice.

     

     But if you looking a bike that can defeat Yamaha RXZ, and not lose to Honda NSR, and Yamaha TZM? I suggest you this bike since this is the fastest 150 cc of two stroke bike that I ever ride.

Hare Scrambler Race

        Hallo there, I know this is a lil bit late, but I have been busy for last 3 weeks. No time to blog at all, but I do have time to attend this awesome event. A Hare Scramble Race. This event occurs on 29 - 30 of November 2014.

        When we reached here, the weather here are so damn hot! But its okey. This Hare Scramble Race is organized by INTI Deras Motor. The qualification day is on 29 of November and the Final is 30 November 2014. There are two categories on this challenge. 150cc and below and 150cc and above.

          So let's not talk much. Let the photos do the rest!

           Okey, here is how they handle this event. They started at the starting line, cross over the challenging off road, meet the wet uphill, and lastly, the enduro. The named it ENDURO because its much challenging.

             Enduro is the finish line for this challenge. After they clear the enduro, they will be at the starting line again for another round. That's all. simple, but challenging. Here are the other's photo that I captured!

                   That's the good parts. But after this, is the moment when the fall from bike, failed to climb or pass any wet surfaces. So enjoy. But none of them are suffering heavy injury during the fall. Marshall did they job. Helping rider to pass if they are stucked, and help them if they fall.

        As you can see, the Little Italy is one of those sponsors for this event. And the picture below are the marshals doing they job. They riding ATV to reach any riders that stuck at wet surface, or those who need help.

        As you can see, this is the champion for category 150cc and below. He riding a Kawasaki KLX150. A bike that surely for off road. I never get any chance to interview him but seem we are all tired, we decided to go home. These are photos I capture before I go back.
